How We Determine Rank
You may not realize it but Google displays very different search results for people in different locations, people using different devices (desktop, smart phone etc.) and based on your personal searching history and Google settings.
When checking your rankings, all of our search history, search preferences, Google preferences etc. will been cleared. The search will be done based on the location you provide when signing up. For example, if you are looking to rank for the term ‘dog kennel winnipeg’ and are located in Winnipeg. We will set our Google search to display results as if we were searching from Winnipeg. This provides the most commonly displayed search results for your search term and location and should be what you see doing the same search.
Getting a website to rank in Google takes time. If we build up your sites authority in the eyes of Google to quickly, it could be perceived as fake and actually hurt your website. Until your website ranks, we are spending time and money on your website with no return on that investment. As such, we need a one-year commitment to make sure we have the time we need to successfully rank your website and recoup on our investment.
In certain cases we may release somebody from their contract at their request. Please don’t count on this though because again, we may have invested heavily into your website in the early months with no return on that investment up until that point.
That being said, the contract does allow us to dissolve the agreement. This is fair to both us and the client as certain things may come to light part way into a project which make ranking a particular website unrealistic. This could include things like a pre-existing Google penalty, or variety of other factors. At such a point, it would be silly to keep going with a contract when no results are to be expected.
In the unlikely event that we need to increase pricing while you are still in your contract period you will be offered the option to cancel at that time. If we are going to change the terms, it’s only fair that you have an out!
