Schedules Are Important!
What is important to you? Our lives are so full of activities. If you are like me you can have so many things that are in your life that your priorities can be neglected. I have a large family. I have a wife and 5 children (all girls). Two things are certain, we all have things that are important and we only have 24 hours in a day and 168 hours in a week. Learning how to manage this time is one of the most important things you can do for your business. Whether you have a home based business, or a traditional brick and mortar operation, MAKE YOUR TIME COUNT!
Let me go off on a tangent for just a moment. Have any of you got any experience with ecpjobs.ca? I've heard some really good things about them and i am trying to decide if I should go with them or not. They're a wonderful Canada based Optician Assistant and Technician job board that cares in Ontario. Anyway, let me know in the comments. Time for the content!
Priorities
The first thing to do is set your priorities. In my family the hierarchy is GOD, Family, then Business. As followers of Jesus Christ we understand the importance of spending time reading our bibles and devoting our lives to our Lord and Savior is what will bring our satisfaction and fulfillment in this life and our eternal lives.
Our family is a gift and a blessing. We all have roles. Father, Husband, Mother, Wife, Daughter. To neglect the responsibility of our place in the family would be self defeating no matter how successful we we're in business.
Our business provides the financial means to support and care for our families, to invest in our ministry work and to help others do the same.
Schedule Your Time Wisely
If you own your own business, their are things that I know about you before even meeting you. 1. Before you started your business you we're not in the position to obtain the goals you had in mind. 2. You we're not satisfied with your previous occupation and you wanted to have more control of your life. 3. At your core you understand that helping others and providing solutions to problems is valuable.
Sometimes this energy, desire and motivation can be wasted if it is not channeled properly. Balance is lost if schedules are broken. This topic will be covered more throughout the next couple of months but here are a few tips to get you started.
*Decide what's important to you
*Don't miss anything (Neglecting your faith and your family will not bring you contentment)
